BrightResume processes the resume content you enter, such as contact details, work history, education, skills, and other information you choose to include. If you create an account, we also process the account information supplied by the sign-in provider. Avoid adding sensitive personal information that is not needed for your application.

Guest and account storage

When you try the builder as a guest, resume data may be stored in your browser. When you sign in and save a resume, it may be stored on our servers so you can access and edit it later. You control the resume content you enter.

Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated website usage, such as pages viewed and interactions with key features. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded when you decline analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser. Google may process analytics data according to its own privacy terms.

How information is used

We use information to provide the resume-building service, authenticate accounts, save requested work, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, understand product usage with consent, and improve BrightResume. We do not use the content of your resume to make employment decisions.

Service providers and legal requirements

We may use infrastructure, authentication, database, and analytics providers to operate the service. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or others.

Retention and your choices

Browser-stored guest data can be removed by clearing site data. You can decline analytics in the consent notice. To request access, correction, or deletion of account data, contact us. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, security, and applicable legal obligations.
